Dive Into VR Esports And New Experiences at EMFHK 2018

2018.08.14 10:30 PM

ZOTAC is taking virtual reality to the next level this year at the E-sports and Music Festival in Hong Kong. At the VIVE x ZOTAC VR Arena, visitors are guaranteed a one-of-a-kind, immersive VR experience spanning all three days including performances, competitive tournaments, and free-to-play fun.

Front Defense: Heroes, dubbed one of the most intense VR multiplayer war shooter games, is coming to EMFHK in VIVE and ZOTAC’s first co-hosted tournament. Watch as the five best teams from China, Taiwan, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, and Vietnam converge in Hong Kong for the first time to compete live on stage for the champion title after battling through the grueling rounds of qualifiers. All 4 players on each team will harness the VIVE Pro and ZOTAC’s VR GO Backpack PC to compete on stage, showing the full capabilities of VR esports. Competitive rhythm game Beat Saber will also be featured over the weekend, with a special appearance by world-ranked HanzerXyria. Hailing all the way from Thailand, HanzerXyria will show off her spectacular skills and share her thoughts about the game and VR with attendees.

Virtual reality is more than just a vehicle for gaming and esports. VIVE x ZOTAC are blending technology with art in an unparalleled creative performance featuring talents from Joint University Dance Society. Using the VIVE Wireless Adaptor, the dancers will perform while playing Beat Saber live on stage. Taking place across all three days of the festival, this performance is a must see for all guests entering the arena.

ZOTAC and VIVE are also thrilled to highlight our five different VR experience zones open to all ticket holders. Each zone is unique, featuring one game: Front Defense, Final Soccer, Richie's Plank Experience, Pingpong Kings, or Beat Saber.     The zone uses VR systems including Vive, Vive Pro, Vive Wireless Adapter, Vive accessories, the next-gen VR GO backpack PC VR GO 2.0, ZBOX Gaming Mini PC, and MEK1 gaming desktop from ZOTAC GAMING. There will also be prizes up for grabs for the winner of each zone across all three days, giving you 15 chances to win while testing your VR gaming skills.

EXPERIENCE ZONE tickets are available on site each day, with and entrance of HK$10.

Ticket holders for the esports tournaments and Hong Kong Computer & Communications Festival 2018 enjoy free admission!
