The Zotac Z77-ITX WiFi is a very interesting and well-equipped construction. It ensures low power consumption, low operating temperature and high levels of performance.

The Z77-ITX WiFi is pretty much the Ivy Bridge motherboard you'd expect from Zotac. Heck, it looks virtually identical to the Z68-ITX WiFi from the Sandy Bridge generation. Zotac added a dedicated mSATA slot to the new model, giving the board an edge over most of its rivals. Support for mini SSDs is a nice touch, and it definitely adds more value than the unique display output config and dual Gigabit Ethernet connectors. The extra HDMI and GigE ports seem better suited to digital signage and NAS applications, neither of which require Intel's flagship Ivy Bridge platform.

Hardware wise, Zotac take a different tack to the video outputs compared to the rest of the Z77 crowd. The Z77 platform with an Ivy Bridge processor allows for 3 digital display outputs and one analogue; most motherboard vendors take this to mean ‘we want one of each output’. Zotac, like Gigabyte, decided to make two of these outputs HDMI to cater for the majority of dual screen home setups (or to supply audio out of one and video out of the other). Rather than give a combination DVI-I port, Zotac also equipped the board with a mDP port and placed in the package a mDP to DP adaptor. If you want a modern digital connection from a Z77 mITX board, Zotac has you covered.

The ZOTAC Z77-ITX WiFi comes in mini-ITX form factor and presents itself as an absolute convincing product with many strengths and few or no weaknesses and is excellently suited for HTPC systems.

With Z77-ITX WiFi board ZOTAC presented some really nice product, best suited for HTPC and other small-sized solutions, while its capabilities are great as for mini-ITX board and will satisfy vast majority of users. Our tests showed that this motherboard is not just small but also efficient, especially in idle mode, which, once more, is totally awesome for HTPC.
