Of all the GeForce RTX 2080 Super cards released to date the all new Zotac Gaming GeForce RTX 2080 Super AMP! Extreme makes one heck of an argument for why novices to enthusiasts should pick it over the competition. First and foremost is even though it is a big card and may not fit in some smaller cases, those that can accommodate its… plus-sized dimensions will love what it has to offer. Not only is this silent assassin nearly dead silent while gaming, it also runs cool. This combination results in auto-overclocks that almost have to be seen to believed. We honestly doubt few GeForce GTX 2080 Super cards will offer this level of ‘free’ ‘plug and play’ performance, and those that do will come with a bigger price premium.

The ZOTAC GAMING GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER AMP Extreme edition is an overclocked beast, that offers excellent performance, but a price. Still, it’s cheaper than the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti and you can get it sub $800. If you’re a hardcore gaming enthusiast put this on your shopping list now!

Turning to the thermal solution on our card, ZOTAC are using their IceStorm 2.0 cooler which blends a large aluminium heatsink, metal thermal brace and the two 90mm cooling fans. In reality, under sustained load, this design will only shave off a marginal figure compared to the NVIDIA Founders Edition – the latter actually does an admirable job at alleviating heat. So, it is the operating noise where the IceStorm 2.0 really shines, it performs particularly well by keeping noise levels to a minimum during gaming sessions – though it doesn’t offer idle fan stop, which is disappointing.

The overall performance of the ZOTAC GAMING GeForce RTX 2060 Super Mini is very good indeed. It surpassed all of my expectations and easily beats the previous RTX 2060 by quite a bit. This is all thanks to the increased number of CUDA cores, a total of 2,176, as well as a GPU running at a boost speed 1650 Mhz (default is core speed is at 1470 Mhz). To add to this, you also get larger memory capacity of 8GB of GDDR6 ram running on a 256-bit memory bus, giving you a total bandwidth of 448 Mb/sec.

Zotac's RTX 2080 Super AMP Extreme comes with a large overclock out of the box, to a rated boost clock of 1875 MHz, which is 60 MHz higher than the Founders Edition. Overall, when averaged over our benchmarks at 4K resolution, this results in only a 2% performance improvement over the NVIDIA reference—not a lot. The RTX 2080 AMP Extreme is 10% faster than the original RTX 2080, which widens the gap to the RTX 2070 Super to 19%, restoring the balance in this market segment.

The Zotac RTX 2070 SUPER is a bit of a monster, and more than worthy of being excited about. It’s clear that SUPER is here to replace the stock RTX range. Of course, with performance that’s chewing at the ankles of the RTX 2080, you’ll not be left feeling short of FPS from the AMP Extreme. At least until they release the RTX 2080 SUPER perhaps. Either way, this is RTX 2080 performance for RTX 2080 money right now, but when prices settle, the Zotac RTX 2070 SUPER is going to fly off the shelves.

Zotac GeForce GTX 1650 LP

Including a GeForce GTX 1650 graphics card in our best of Computex 2019 coverage will no doubt surprise many, but this is a worthy entry. All existing GTX 1650 graphics cards are rather pointless in our opinion as they can't be installed in systems that need them the most: small form factor OEM rigs with Core i7 processors. Zotac has solved this with a low-profile version of the GTX 1650. Why there aren’t more of these is a mystery, but there will be one on sale shortly. How much it will cost though might be another issue.
