Heroes of the Storm
This month was filled with surprise wins and new champions, as Bob Question Mark made a name for themselves by winning their second Heroes of the Storm title against Kappa123. At the very last minute, we also saw Fnatic, one of the best teams in Europe, qualify for the monthly final by winning the last weekly cup this month. During the high-profile final, Fnatic defeated Pirates in Pyjamas after an intense best-of-three match, taking home the win, the pride, and last but not least, the glorious cash prize.
Hearthstone
Meanwhile, in the ZOTAC Hearthstone Cups, nicktiret from Turkey successfully became our first Southeast Asia Hearthstone Cup winner that is not from the SEA region. During the SEA Hearthstone final, nicktiret defeated ZOTAC veteran gcttirth in an exciting fashion. With the release of the new cards from the “Grand Tournament” expansion, we witnessed a lot of innovative Meta plays and decks. The expansion had a huge impact on the ZOTAC cups, with the players needing to prepare their best plays in a short period of time. As everyone becomes more familiar with the new style, we are certain our ZOTAC Cup players will pull off even more surprises to keep even the toughest of veterans on their toes.
