March has been a month of travelling for us, as we trekked across continents to bring you the best of March's events. This is our March Madness.
We are in Hannover, Germany for CeBit 2015! We bathed in future technology but we had our own pieces to show as well. We brought along our mini-PCs and graphics card to show everyone that size does matter. From the single fan ZOTAC GeForce GTX 960 to the ZBOX MA710 nano, we are lowering our carbon footprint and saving precious space while pumping out the same sort of performance you would expect larger form factors.
We were also at the Games Developers Conference to get in tune with the current games and technology, and showed the world a brand new design made solely for the new ZOTAC Steam Machine powerhouse. We debuted the sleek SN970 to the world, letting all gamers know there is a brave new world for PC gaming beyond the desk.
PAX East is packed with gamers from around the globe looking to meet and greet gamers, game developers, and experience and feel new gaming hardware. The atmosphere was great and we had systems powered by ZOTAC GTX 960 and GTX 970 graphics cards demoing the latest games while displaying our full range of ZOTAC ZBOX mini-PCs to wow users with their power and small size.
To complete our trip, we got in touch with gamers up north in Canada at GottaCon, the rapidly growing LAN event. This year, we are pleased to be sponsoring this annual convention and provide the means to game with our strong line-up of Maxwell video cards and ZOTAC ZBOX EN760. It was a busy schedule but we got to engage with the community up close and more personally.
On the digital front, we also gave away hundreds of beta keys for Blizzard’s exciting MOBA game, Heroes of the Storm, for the past 10 days. The same game our ZOTAC CUP started hosting this year to allow players around the world to join a host of other players and hone their skills. ZOTAC CUP
With the start of our Hearthstone SEA Cup as well as the Heroes of the Storm Cup in March, we experienced the most action-packed month of 2015 so far. Over the course of four weeks, eleven cups were held, with over 2,500 players participating. It wasn't just our new cups that were a highlight; the Hearthstone EU Cup #50 became one of the official qualifier tournaments that rewarded the TOP 3 players with an invitation to DreamHack Bucharest 2015.
Apart from all the Hearthstone action we had, the launch of the weekly Heroes of the Storm Cup has attracted many teams, such as the mixed European team "Team Tomorrow Big", who not only became the first team ever to win the Heroes of the Storm Cup but also to take it one step further by winning the first Monthly Final held on the 28th of March. "Team Tomorrow Big" won 2:1 in the final round against the Spanish team "El Nexo", who were recently picked up by Team Liquid.
