December was an exciting month for the ZOTAC CUP series. We saw two epic LAN Finals, completion of two huge tournament series and also saw the first ZOTAC CUP PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) tournaments! Now that the month has completed, and before looking to 2018, it’s time to summarize the tournaments and results we got to see throughout December.
Day 1 of the event consisted of group stage matches where Dragon dominated throughout the tournament without dropping a single game and faced off Michael who topped Ultra in the Loser's Final. But In the Grand Finals, Michael surprised everyone and came out on top with a close 3-2 win, leaving Dragon as the second place finisher.
The second day centered around the invitational tournament where the freshly-crowned champion Michael invited to join three invitational pro gamers - Legend from China, Larva from Korea and Draco from Europe to compete for an extra prize pool. Larva stormed into the Final, defeating Legend for 1st place.
The League of Legends EU West series was started in November, but the fourth qualifier and finals took place in December. In the final qualifier, we saw Gameplay dna rip through the bracket and take a dominating 1st place finish in front of Alpha samci. NaCl was able to make their way through as well, only losing to Gameplay dna and taking a 3rd place finish.
The finals went similarly. Although teams put up a fight, nobody could stand against Gameplay dna as they swept through the bracket without losing a single match. Alpha samci had their chance at redemption, but were not able to pull through and received a 2nd place finish. In the 3rd place match, Public Enemy Academy and NaCl played. It was a hardfought and close match, but Public Enemy Academy was able to take the victory.

December was majorly important for ZOTAC CUP we saw the inclusion of PUBG via both a North American and European tournament. These two tournaments were both for solo players and had ZOTAC GeForce GTX cards as the prizes. The competition was fierce, but after all scores were counted, we had five top players in each of the two tournaments.
