I’ve always been a fan of Zotac cards. More often than not, they deliver big performance at very competitive prices. Of course that formula holds true here today also. While it’s not the fastest GTX 1660 we’ve tested, it’s hardly a million miles behind the competition, despite being up to £50 cheaper.

There are many things I can say about the Zotac RTX 2060 AMP, none of which are negative. Starting first with the aesthetics. The Zotac RTX 2060 AMP is a compact card for sure. Its size makes the Zotac 2060 AMP the ideal card for small form factor builds. Zotac advertises that the 2060 AMP will fit into 99% of cases, and I fully believe it. With its neutral colors of black, gray and silver, the 2060 AMP can easily fit into any build that has a specific color scheme in mind. The back plate looks great and I love that it wraps around the rear of the card This gives the PCB and the heat sink 360° of protection. It also adds to the already great look of the card. Although RGB lighting has started to grow on me, I still prefer non-RGB lighting. So, the fact the Zotac 2060 AMP has only a white LED may be a negative for some, its a huge plus for me. Again, this goes well with the neutral color scheme of the Zotac RTX 2060 AMP.

Zotac's thermal solution is fairly simple to keep cost down, yet it achieves the best noise levels of all the GTX 1660 Ti cards we tested today. With 30 dBA, it is very quiet. Zotac achieved that by picking a good balance between temperatures and noise levels. There is no reason why a graphics card should run below 70°C, even if it has to use a cost-effective cooler in the first place.

The dual-fan design provides adequate cooling, but the card itself is not all that large so it can easily fit in a smaller system. Zotac also provides a full backplate with this card, which is a nice touch.

NVIDIA recently announced a game bundle with the RTX 2060 which lets you pick either Anthem or Battlefield V with a qualifying purchase of the RTX 2060, which will certainly help offset the cost of the card. Yeah, the Zotac AMP Extreme edition of the RTX 2080 Ti is a small powerhouse. The product has been factory tweaked really well with a boost at 1810 MHz as well as a bump in memory frequency. The new design is appealing as well. While you can discuss the 2080 Ti performance positioning overall, it's validity and overall price level, we need to focus on what the board partners do with it.
