ZOTAC IN ACTION - JULY 2023

Over the past month, ZOTAC has been busy releasing new products, as well as engaging in community events for positive impact. Let’s jump in and take a look!

EVENT: Community Outreach Gaming Event

The Cyber Youth Support Team is a program of the Hong Kong-based charity St. James Settlement. Its primary purpose is to approach youths that are often neglected and misunderstood, and provide them with support and counseling through online and offline means.

On July 2nd 2023, ZOTAC collaborated with the Team to hold an offline E-sports event. Unlike most E-sports events, however, this one is not quite about finding out who is the best; rather an opportunity for the participants to find confidence and potential through gaming.

Participants were split into four teams, competing in League of Legends in a full-day tournament.

The event immediately kicked into high gear, with participants strategizing and communicating with one another. They are so engrossed and focused, that most viewers would watch on with bated breath, waiting to see who would come out on top.

We are grateful to have this opportunity to reach out to the local youth, giving them a platform to have fun and a taste of competitive gaming. Game on, folks!

ZOTAC GAMING GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16GB AMP

Earlier in the month, ZOTAC GAMING launched the ZOTAC GAMING GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16GB AMP, the newest model to its 4060 family lineup.

What’s the difference between the 8GB model and the 16GB model? The answer turns out to be quite obvious. Other than the amount of VRAM on-board, the 8GB and 16GB 4060 Ti models are practically identical…externally. Both feature the Ada Lovelace architecture, and features such as 3rd generation ray tracing and DLSS3 AI frame generation.

While both cards will play most games at max settings and deliver impressive performance at 1080p resolution, there are some games with graphical settings that benefit from more VRAM (textures, for example). Additionally, for locally hosted generative AI tools such as Stable Diffusion and Llama 2, 16GB of VRAM will certainly give you an edge when generating larger images and using LLMs with more parameters.

The ZOTAC GAMING GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16GB AMP is a compact, dual fan GPU. Its 2.2 slot size and low PSU requirement makes it an accessible option for both PC building and upgrading, and is indeed an excellent choice for a SFF gaming PC.

GAMESCOM 2023 TEASER

It’s almost August, and you know what that means – it’s almost time for Gamescom 2023! Starting from 24 August till 26 August this year, everyone will have a chance to take part in the world’s largest celebration of computer and video games in Cologne. Experience games ranging from the indie to AAA varieties, as well as a chance to look at recent innovations in the computing world.

This year, ZOTAC will also take part, showcasing new products. And this time, we would like to give a little teaser for one of the products that will be featured in the event.

During COMPUTEX 2023, we showcased a number of ZOTAC ZBOX Mini PCs, and among them is the most eye-catching and exciting showcase to folks who attended the event was the MAGNUS ONE White Edition. And after witnessing such positive enthusiasm, we decided to release it as an actual product!

The MAGNUS ONE White Edition retains the compact 8.3 Liter, easy-to-access chassis, and just like its normal version, is equipped with some of the best hardware of this generation, including a 13th Generation Intel Core i7 CPU, a ZOTAC GAMING GeForce RTX 4070 Desktop GPU, and DDR5 memory.
