ZOTAC Wins Three Red Dot Awards 2021 for Outstanding Product Design

HONG KONG – March 31, 2021 – ZOTAC Technology is proud to receive three awards at the coveted Red Dot Design 2021. This is the second time ZOTAC products have been recognized by this prestigious accolade, while the ZBOX M Series edge was the first to be honored last year.
The award-winning pieces are two models from the ZOTAC GAMING GeForce RTX™ 30 Series and the ZOTAC ZBOX MAGNUS ONE, both being recognized in the product design category. This award indeed demonstrates the brand’s endeavor and commitment in search of good design and innovation as the years progress.
Royce Yu, Senior Product Designer of ZOTAC Technology, pulls back the curtain to reveal the ideas and creative process behind the award winning products.
"The first impressions we would like MAGNUS ONE to make are minimalistic and unorthodox. Our goal is to keep a compact footprint that inherits ZBOX's signature honeycomb design. It's more than a computer sitting on top of your desk. Call it a home decor, or a stylish gadget as it could blend into your living room or desk perfectly," says Royce Yu.
With a timeless aesthetic and low-profile design, the MAGNUS ONE has been built to be the one system that empowers everything. It could be a daily computer, the office workstation, the system for creating, or the system for gaming.
Like other ZBOX Mini PCs, the MAGNUS ONE also has an easy-access design which is user-friendly for beginners and enthusiasts alike. "The case is easy to open without using any tools, and the components and cables are arranged tidily inside. The absence of clutter is achieved by our team's hard work, dedication and their commitment to improving the user experience," he says.

"Inspired by the elusive aurora lights, the HoloBlack design featured on these two models showcase the brand’s most out-of-the-box design," says Royce Yu.
The AMP (Core) Holo model comes with an out of the box factory overclock and introduces a unique design embracing an iridescent holographic finish.

Royce Yu claimed the original idea is to create two different characters on a single graphics card. "They are beautiful in their own ways, yet, at their best when combining together," says Royce Yu. "When the lighting is off, the Holoblack looks stunning per se; but when the lighting's on, it will "wow" everyone as the underlying RGB shines through the transparent flourish."
The design and engineering teams had made the effort to find new materials and make several configuration to create the best effect. But the real challenge was the time investment on fine tuning the balance of transparency, firmness, colors of the adornment, while not comprising the cooling performance and presentation of the lighting.
The designer concludes, "As the first manufacturer to implement such design concept on graphics hardware, we are glad that the result came out great. The recognition by the international juries is the testament of the innovative spirit from the brand. It gives us the push to achieve higher in the years ahead."
